The Wareham Harbormaster Department and the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary will be hosting a one day basic boating safety course on May 7, 2011.
The basic boating safety course is designed for boater’s aged 12 through adults. The basic boating safety class meets the requirements of all states that mandate boater education and USCGAUX Certificates are recognized in all 50 States. Many insurance companies will provide discounts on boating insurance to boat owners who complete the class.
Topics include: types of boats, boating laws, required safety equipment, navigation on the water, boating problems, and trailering your boat. Junior operator licensing will also be available.
The class will be held at:
Multi-Service Building (Next to the Wareham Town Hall)

Cost: $45.00 – Includes text, testing and certificate of completion
