Health Services offered by the Wareham Board of Health
The Drop-In Clinic located at The Wareham Council on Aging MultiService Center offers Health Counseling/ Nutrition Counseling/ Health Screenings including blood pressure and blood sugar/injections/and immunizations. The Clinics are held weekly on Thursday morning 9-10:30 AM. All services are free to Wareham residents.
Communicable Disease Services include follow up to reportable diseases. The follow-up consists of telephone calls, home visits, office visits, Department of Public Health reporting requirements.
Assessments are conducted for individuals deemed At – Risk due to physical or emotional illness, financial exploitation or safety reasons. Information and referral on how to access community social and health services are provided. Home visits to homebound elderly and uninsured residents are provided as needed.
Maternal-Child health nursing visits are conducted by C.C.V.N.A. who provide P.H. services to the Wareham BOH.
Annual Flu Clinics are held in the Fall at the Wareham Council On Aging MultiService Center. Schedules are posted in the local newspapers and Proof of Residency is required.
