The Town of Wareham’s Community & Economic Development Authority (CEDA) is accepting applications for the part time position of Marketing Salesperson for its Tourist Center. This position will be responsible for soliciting local and area businesses to become advertising members of the Tourist/Information Center for the 2011 tourist season.
The Marketing Salesperson will seek new business advertising as well as “follow up” with non-renewed businesses during the months of May and June.
Applicants should have good verbal skills, knowledge of and interest in promoting the local area, ability to motivate sales and a professional personal appearance. The selected candidate will be provided sales leads, explanatory materials and training/understanding of the Center’s operation.
Hours are flexible, but shall not exceed 19 hours per week and up to 100 hours for the season. Hours must coincide with potential advertising business’ schedules. The selected individual must provide his/her own vehicle. Mileage will be reimbursed. In addition, the Salesperson will also receive 10% for any advertising sold when the total exceeds $2000.
