The Circulation staff assists patrons with the checking in and out of materials, including books, magazines, museum passes, and other items that are lent by the Wareham Free Library. Please call the staff for assistance with renewing books, checking on reserved items, or with your library card account.
The Wareham Free Library is part of the Southeastern Massachusetts Automated Library System (SAILS), which is made up of over sixty libraries. In addition to asking for staff assistance, you may check your account online at www.sailsinc.org. You will need to log in with your User ID and PIN number. Your User ID is the complete barcode number on the back of your library card. Your PIN number is usually the last four digits of your telephone number. Please call the Circulation Desk if you are having a problem accessing your account with these numbers. You may also change your PIN number any time after logging into your account.
Applying for a Library Card:
Anyone residing in Massachusetts may have a library card at no charge. Please fill out a library card application and bring it to the Main Desk with identifcation that shows your local address. If you have a card from another library system in Massachusetts, you will need to fill out a SAILS library card application and present identification. Patrons under the age of 18 will need a parent or guardian to sign the application. Children between the ages of 5 and 14 should apply at the Children's Circulation Desk.
When a patron receives a library card, a staff member will review the library's Circulation Policy and will also present a New Patron Packet of library information, courtesy of the Friends of the Wareham Free Library.
