Love Your Library Rally
Who needs public libraries? We all do!
Saturday February 4, 10:00am-1:00pm
On Saturday February 4, 2012 everyone who loves public libraries is invited to attend the second annual Love Your Library Rally at the Wareham Free Library, 59 Marion Road in Wareham. The Rally will be held from 10:00AM – 1:00PM. Participants are invited to stop in for a few minutes or stay for the whole event. Everyone who comes to rally day will receive small door prize and a chance to win Love Your Library gift baskets provided by the Friends of the Wareham Free Library.
The main goal of the rally is to promote support for increased state funding for public libraries in Massachusetts. 34 million people visited Massachusetts public libraries last year & 58 million items were borrowed.
This year the Rally will feature Showstoppers, a community service vocal troupe, a visit from Frosty the Snowman, story times featuring local and state luminaries and a showcase of local talent, crafts and clubs. Refreshments will be provided by the Friends. Please join us in letting everyone know why public libraries matter to you.
