The Town of Wareham Announces New Book Donation Drop-off
--Keeping Books Out of the Trash Just Got Easier--

Wareham, MA, March, 2007 – The Town of Wareham in partnership with Got Books announced a new book donation and reuse drop-off location for residents, businesses, schools, libraries, and other groups in Wareham looking for ways to reuse and donate books they no longer know what to do with.

“Our new book drop-off container offers residents and organizations a whole new way to help keep books out of the waste stream,” said Ilo Howard, Recycling Coordinator. “Working with Got Books has given us an alternative for our facility and town residents that is convenient, accessible, and that everybody can participate in to help reduce the town’s book waste.”

Got Books holds a charity book sale where at least 80% of book donations are then sold to raise money for nonprofit groups. The sale is open every Friday and Saturday in their North Reading, MA warehouse. Fifty percent of all weekend book sale profits go directly to that weekend’s benefiting organization.
