Wareham Community Television
The Wareham Community Television (WCTV) Board of Directors is proud to announce the establishment of its Media Center at Old Town Hall at 505 Main Street, Wareham. WCTV is an independent 501(c) (3) non profit corporation whose mission is to provide free facilities, media training and broadcast time on the local cable television system to the residents, non profit organizations, educational institutions and government bodies of Wareham. The Public Access channel is based upon the public's artistic expression, creativity and constitutional rights to freedom of speech. "We are building a state of the art cable television studio right here in Wareham" says Jay Heard, Interim Executive Director for WCTV. " It's our goal to get as many people actively involved in learning television techniques and developing their own television programs and series to be run over our Comcast and Verizon channels. The Old Town Hall was built as a communication center for the town and we hope to renew that tradition by providing a forum for unrestricted non-commercial ideas and creativity to anyone in Wareham."

Funding for WCTV is provided by contributions, underwriting, and grants, and by Comcast and Verizon. Please visit us at www.warehamtv.org for information and updates on construction progress. Look for a grand opening of the Media Center this fall. For membership applications, submission of programming ideas, or more information, please contact Jay Heard c/o WCTV PO Box 446, Wareham MA 02571 or 508-273-2340.
