NOTICE
WAREHAM WATER DEPARTMENT
LICENSED CONTRACTOR REQUIREMENTS
EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2006
All contractors employed to install, repair, relocate or otherwise work on water services connected to the Wareham Fire District Water Department (WFDWD) distribution system must be licensed with the WFDWD in accordance the its Rules and Regulations.
A copy of the rules pertaining to this requirement and the application for the license is available for pickup at the water department office, 2550 Cranberry Highway or by calling (508)295-0450. The initial license will be good through December 31, 2007 provided the contractor maintains the required insurance coverage on file with the WFDWD.
Effective July 1, 2006, water customers will be provided with a list those contractors complying with this requirement and who will be permitted to work on water services.
