Junk Study Committee Seeks Comments
Wareham’s Junk Study Committee is seeking input from citizens regarding the revision of the Town’s current Junk License By-Law. The committee was appointed at the direction of Spring Town Meeting to revise the by-law and present a warrant article for the Fall 2015 Town Meeting.
Currently, the Town has only five Junk Licenses when approximately 60 businesses would fall under the state’s definition of businesses requiring a junk license: any person(s), entity or organization that collects, consigns, purchases, sells or barters junk, old metals, antiques or secondhand articles or merchandise.
The Committee is asking for constructive comments and suggestions from the public to be sent via email from July 1 to July 31.
