    Approved at the Spring/Special Spring 2022 Town Meeting - April 2022:

    The 801 Village

    • Description:  A grant in the sum of $300,000.00 from the Community Preservation Affordable Housing Reserve Funds or other available Community Preservation Act monies to Villages 801 Main Street, LLC to fund the construction of 6 affordable housing units and obtain a 40-year affordable housing deed restriction on the land and structures at 801 Main Street.

    Beach Mobility Access Mats

    • Description:  A grant in the sum of $60,000.00 from the Community Preservation Undesignated Fund or other available Community Preservation Act monies to the Town of Wareham’s Department of Natural Resources for the purchase of mobility mats and supporting equipment for installation on Town-owned beaches.

    Approved at the 2022 Special Town Meeting - February 22, 2022:

    Little Harbor Country Club (LHCC) Golf Course

    • Description:  A grant in the sum of $2,000,000.00 of which (1) transferring $1 million from Community Preservation Act funds and borrowing $1 million pursuant to GL Chapter 44 or any lawful authority and acknowledge the Community Preservation Committee's commitment to pay the debt service on the $1 million borrowing in order to pay costs of acquiring all land.  And further, that no Community Preservation Act funds be released until the following contingencies are met:  the Town receives the appraisal in the Town's name, completes and Environmental Site Assessment, completes a perimeter survey, and has an executed Memorandum of Understanding for a conservation restriction with a qualified organization.

    Approved at the Fall 2021 Town Meeting:

    1. Joseph W. Conway, Sr., Swift’s Beach Playground:

    • Description:  A grant in the sum of $250,000.00 to fund the rehabilitation of the Joseph W. Conway, Sr., Swift’s Beach Playground on Circle Drive, to include ADA-compliant pathway around the entire playground, ADA-compliant play equipment and surfacing, a pickle ball court, re-topping basketball court with new backboards and rims, and landscaping to spruce up open field and crushed stone pathway to improve drainage and limit vegetation growth.

    2. Wickets Island Pier Restoration:

    • Description:  A grant in the sum of $150,000.00 to the Buzzards Bay Coalition towards the $462,407.00 total restoration of the stone pier and addition of a floating dock at Wickets Island to provide safe access for residents, visitors, outdoor exploration and environmental programs, maintenance equipment, and safety/emergency vessels.

    1. Shangri-La Playground Build:

    • Description:  A playground to be constructed on Town-owned land at 21 Sunset Blvd.  The playground will create a meeting space for friends and families with play areas for 2-5 and 6-12 year olds.

    2. Wareham Youth Soccer Fields at Westfield:

    • Description:  The Wareham Youth Soccer Club (WYSC) has obtained an agreement with the Town of Wareham to use and improve the Westfield Recreation Facility at 98 Charlotte Furnace Road to build 5 first class soccer playing fields.

    1. Knute Anderson Field Track Resurfacing, Storage, and Fence: 

    • Description: Resurfacing of the track, adding a modular storage unit and additional fencing at the track on Viking Drive

    2. New Housing Units at Agawam Village:

    • Description: A grant to the Wareham Housing Authority (WHA) to construct four (4) new units of affordable senior public housing at the Agawam Village site at 57 Sandwich Road

    1. Tremont Nail Factory Remediation: 

    • Description:  cleanup of contamination at the Tremont Nail Factory site at 8 Elm Street, Wareham

    2. Lillian Gregerman Bandshell Replacement: 

    • Description: To improve the structure’s resistance to the elements, enlarge the performing and storage spaces, expand seating, upgrade lighting and walkways and incorporate original Victorian details
