Communications

The Wareham Police Communications Division consists of Police Communications Officers, who are the primary answering point for all emergency and non-emergency requests for police and emergency medical services.

Communications Officers provide general assistance to the citizens of Wareham, along with their duties of dispatching police officers to incidents via the police radio and patrol car Mobile Data Terminals.

The Communications Division operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, answering calls for service, including all calls placed via Emergency 911.

In 2011, the Communications Center was completely rebuilt with state of the art computer systems, video monitoring and radio equipment. The officers assigned to the division are also trained as Emergency Medical Dispatchers, providing directions for medical treatment for emergencies reported by phone.

The Wareham Police Communications Division handles each call with courtesy and professionalism. We look forward to serving the citizens of Wareham in the future.
