Certification of Residence

We provide citizens and voters of Wareham  with a proof of residence card.  This can only be accomplished if one has been a resident for six months or more and able to prove residency.  If you are either a registered voter or noted on our census for more than six months, residency can be established without problems.

Proof that would be required if one is not a registered voter or on the town census would be rent receipts, mortgage, light bills, license with correct address, excise bill, etc., established six or more months before the request.  We will not verify residency without established proof.

Proof of voter registration can also be made available for a small fee (see Clerk's Fee schedule).
