Dept. of Natural Resources - Harbormaster and Shellfish Division

  • Charles W. Morgan in Hog Island Channel, Wareham

The Wareham Department of Natural Resources - Harbormaster Division ensures that all waterways, town owned waterfront facilities and natural resources are used in a safe, environmentally friendly and lawful manner.

The Department of Natural Resources administrative office located at 48 Marion Road in the Multi-Service Center is responsible for issuing town permits for recreational and commercial shellfish, smelt fishing, mooring permits, beach parking, and resident street parking.

All moorings throughout the Town of Wareham are assigned by the Harbormaster Division.   Harbor Service Permits are issued to legally approved moorings and we maintain a waiting list for all mooring fields.

To reserve a transient mooring or dock space is easier than ever! Simply click on the DOCKWA link below or download the DOCKWA app to your smartphone or tablet.
