While there won’t be a full Cape Verdean festival this year, a picnic is scheduled for noon to 6 p.m. on Saturday, August 13.
The event will include live music, food, vendors and raffles, and admission costs $10 per person. Kids under 12 are free.
The event will feature performances by Amilton Tavares and Friends, Candida Rose and CV Roots.
The event will be held at the Onset VFW at 4 Gibbs Ball Park Rd. in Onset.
