Town Offices and Library closed Friday, January 7, 2022

Our region is expecting to be impacted by heavy snow fall beginning early Friday morning. According to the latest Massachusetts Emergency Management reports we can expect snow fall rates of 1 -2 inches beginning around 6 a.m. continuing for the next few hours and lighter snowfall throughout the rest of the day.
Due to these concerns Town Offices and the Library will be closed on Friday, January 7th.
Additionally, as this is the first snow storm of the year we are providing a link to the Town’s Winter Maintenance Policy. We currently have 33 less plow drivers than when the policy went into effect three years ago. With the reduction in contract drivers and staffing members out due to COVID-19 related matters we expect the duration of the clean up to be longer than usual.
To help with plowing efforts we ask that when at all possible please stay off the roads and once again ask for your understanding that the cleanup process will be longer than usual
